Welcome to our website! MAP had been providing high quality before and after school programs for children enrolled in the Medfield Public Schools since September 1989!!!
We know you have a choice in whether or not to send your child to FDK for the 2014-15 year. One of our teachers and a MAP parent, recently stated this about why he feels MAP is the place for your kindergarten child:
Imagine you have a chance to go on a journey of learning and exploration, but you have 2 paths to choose from. If you choose 1 path, you spend all of your time with 1 guide. This guide will spend her time teaching you mainly about 3 things. She is very good at what she does, and she will do all she can to make sure you understand those 3 things by the end of the journey. If you choose the other path, you will have 8 different guides, each of whom has their own knowledge base, life experiences, and talents to share. They will teach you about those same 3 things you would learn on the other path, but they will also help you experience, discover, and explore countless other ideas, subjects, skills, and lessons about life and the world we live in. Oh, and you would still have the opportunity to spend ½ of the day with the guide from the first path, gleaning what you can about those all-important 3 subjects she will teach. Which path would you choose for your child?

MAP is a parent based non-profit program that was established 25 years ago to provide quality care to children enrolled in the Medfield Public Schools. MAP is fully licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care and provides care for children in Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
Since the afterschool period represents a major portion of a child's free time, MAP is designed to provide a less structured environment than a regular school day. MAP offers various enrichment activities to enhance children’s interest, talents, and values. The program fosters each child’s need for relaxation, quiet time, an environment for homework, and a supportive atmosphere.
MAP currently services over 300 children at three different sites. At Memorial, our modular classroom provides programming for kindergarten children from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Kindergarten children may sign up for different sessions and programs depending on their schedules (morning K, afternoon K, or full day K) and the 1st graders join them at 2:40. At the Wheelock School modular, we offer programming for the 2nd and 3rd graders. MAP @ the Pfaff is a program for children in grades 4th-6th. Families with children in middle school (grades 6-8) have the option of enrolling their child in our CIT program. MAP is open on early release days, some non-school days, and during the February and April Vacation weeks.
The MAP staff consists of professional teachers with degrees ranging in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Physical Education, Art, Music, Theater, etc….
Through our commitment, experience, and expertise Medfield Afterschool Program has established a great relationship with the schools and the children that will last a lifetime!
MAP offers several options for kindergarten parents at our Kindergarten-1st grade program @ Memorial:
We offer programs for children in grade
1 on site at the Memorial school, children in grade 2 and 3 on site at
the Wheelock school, children in grade 4,5, and 6 at the Pfaff Center
(just a short walk from the Dale St. school). Middle school age
children may choose to attend the Pfaff or apply to be a CIT (counselor
in training). Contact Gaye @email@example.com for more info.
